Cost of Registration
Registration for the 2026 Events EARLY BIRD $25 plus sport/s fee through April 15th for JUNE events. Final JUNE event registration May 31, 2026. Events in Sept, registration opens JUNE 1st.
Age Qualifications
Events are in five (5) year age increments:
50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95-99, 100+
Age for 2026 Indiana State Games is determined by age as of Dec 31, 2026. Example: If you are 59 competing in any event this year but will turn 60 in November, you will be in the 60-64 age bracket when you register (even though you have not turned 60 yet). Your age bracket will automatically place you in the age you will be as of the end of the year.
Awards
Medals are awarded to all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers.
Medals will be awarded in order placed regardless of the state an athlete resides. Medals awarded at completion of events at the site of the event. We do not mail medals.
Indiana welcomes participation from out of state athletes.
Qualification for the National Senior Games - out of state atheltes cannot displace an Indiana athlete. Meaning: The top four athletes in a gender and sporting event adance to the nationals in most sports. IF the top finishers are from out of state, the next in line from Indiana ALSO qualify. Contact Holly for further clarification.
Advancing in the Games
The 2026 Indiana State Games is a qualification year for the National Senior Games that will be held June 30-July 11, 2027 in Tulsa, OK. To compete in the 2027 Nationals, you must qualifyin a State Games in 2026. If you are plan to play in a sport at Nationals in 2027 with a partner, you do NOT have to play with the partner you qualified with.
The next National Senior Games qualification will be at Indiana State Games in 2026. Qualification for those 50+ will be awarded to the top four (4) finishers in each age bracket for most individual sports. The top three (3) finishers in each age bracket for team sports. The top two (2) finishers in Golf by age & gender. Please note: an Indiana athlete cannot be displaced for a National qualification position. Example: If the top four finishes are from Ohio, Ohio will advance the top four athletes for that event, but the very next four Indiana athletes will also advance to the National Senior Games in 2027. Previous quailfication and participation does NOT qualify you for the 2027 National Senior Games. The 2029 National Senior Games dates will be held in Birmingham, Alabama.
